"Support for external display with digital resolution up to 1920 x 1200, analog resolution up to 2048 x 1536"

does this mean that i will get 2048 x 1536 off the actual imac builtin montor?
or expliain what analog meanss

Analog monitors are all monitors based on CRT technology (that is, all monitors except flat-panel displays) are analog. Link So if you hooked up the iMac to an external monitor that is CRT based you would be able to handle res up to 2048 x 1536. I believe that is what it is referring to.

The iMac 20" has a maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050 in the built-in display.

I think that if they use DVI connectors they are Digital, VGA would be analog.
