Hi,

I’ve noticed that iMessage notifications work differently on the iPad than on my Macbook. On my Macbook I’ve set it up so a preview will pop up on the top right of the screen and if I look at it in the first few seconds I can close it out and if not then I have to go to the App.

On the iPad I’ll get a notification from the top saying that I have 8 messages and then it’ll go away. The attached picture is my setup, so please let me know if there is an easy fix here or if this is a common thing other people have noticed.

Thanks

Noticed this too a while back.

Any other inputs on this? It would be nice not to get a notification saying I have 8 messages that I’ve already checked. Everything about the iPad is great by the way, just one minor thing that I kind of hope gets cleared up in iOS 13 or sooner.

Sorry I am not sure that I understand your problem. In the first post you mention that the notification goes away. Is the fact that it goes away a problem or it's only about the fact that you receive your notifications on the iPad later than on your Macbook? Or it is about the fact that the iPad does not recognize that you have read your messages on your Macbook?
