About to purchase a macmini and tossing between the 2.3 and 2.5 models.

Anyone have any experience with Dell Ultrasharp displayport connection? My current monitor setup with my PC is:
27inch Ultrasharp with Display port [2560 x 1440] (running trading software that is flash based)
21inch Asus with DVI-I [1280x800] (5yrs old but does the job) that I run vertically along side for web/email/word/excel.

Will the Intel 3000 graphics card be sufficient running these monitors in dual screen? I rather spend the difference between the 2.3 and 2.5ghz mini on 8gb ram and 120gb SSD and use the 500gb standard drive as a TM backup.

I have been to the Apple store but the staff couldn't help me with this problem, I had a play around with Lion and I really liked mission control and how I can set two desktops, so ideally i want to have desktop 1 & 2 on separate monitors and have each app assigned to that monitor when it opens.

I hope this made cents

This is the cable I'm planning on ordering for macmini to Ultrasharp

Well, just about no current game will work with either of the Minis (of course better with the 6630M one), but for most to all other things the base Mini is fine. The Intel HD3000 is much better than most people think - at least for non-gamers. I guess Intel has a bad reputation for their - really, really bad - GMA-series of graphic-chips, but they've learned their lesson.

By the way, nice display! I like the Ultrasharp series very much - they just don't look as good optically as a Apple Thunderbold Display. ;)
