Ok, so I have an iPod Touch although I am at boarding school and don't feel comfortable having a AUS$420 device sitting in a room that basically anyone can access, so I'm forking out AUS$65 for a Shuffle, just for the sake of still having music though not having to really worry about something expensive being stolen (gonna still keep the Touch of course, but I'll only use it when I visit home)...now it doesn't have the traditional "plug" for a USB cable, and I understand it charges through the headphone jack which can be attached to an included dock...will I be able to attach this dock to my iPod USB wall charger so I don't have to use a computer whenever I want it charged?

Yes.

The shuffle comes with a USB dock that you use for syncing and charging.

Yeah you can use the charger you have, for charging any USB device including the Shuffle using the dock it comes with.
