hey i kind of new to all this and i want to buy and iphone and unlock it to use with t-mobile. my question is , i already have an itunes that i use with my ipod... will that affect anything when i connect my iphone to activate/unlock it ???
thanks for the help

Nope...

I just unlocked mine for tmobile -- once you unlock, activate and jailbreak, you can go into itunes and tell it not to auto-sync.

If you sync it, it will just dump your itunes music into your iphone.
If you have too much music on itunes for the phone, you can manually manage your music files on the iphone which will allow you to just drop what you want onto your phone.

Hope that helps -- I'm not the resident expert, but I know what worked for me :)

Yeah, I just unlocked mine for T-Mo also, and I use it with my existing iTunes that also manages my other iPods. I just synced my Blackberry for the last time, plugged the iPhone in and let iTunes restore it to 1.1.4, and then did ZiPhone.

iTunes plays with it just fine. It remembers settings independently for each iPod; for instance, my 4G / 30GB syncs my full library, my Nano syncs a set of playlists, and my iPhone syncs a different set of playlists.
