Question about Macs and microsoft's word

I fear that my brand new ibook's harddrive might be weakening on me. If it fails and I need a new harddrive, will I be able to use the same serial number for my office installation cd? I don't want to use up another of the 3 you get when you buy it simply because the computer they sold me has a garbage harddrive.

Of course... there's little chance that the old instance of Word (with the same serial number) will be running at the same time as the new one, right...?

Asides from which if you ring Microsoft up and explain the situation to them they'll allow you to activate 4, 5, 6 plus times - tried it in the past.

no worries, just when you need to activiate it explain to MS what happened. I've done it with Windows on the same machine for years!
