Hi, I'm waiting for my first mac coming in 2 days, but I have been checking out a lot of rumors and issues....and I developed a noob question...
I was wondering if current MBPs can play...High Definition quality videos.
My friend ripped the famous BBC's Planet Earth series on HD DVD to separate 2GB per episode (50 minutes) video format....and he said it is HD quality. Is it?
I also read the article regarding the DVD player for BluRay/HDDVD disk support in Leopard.
https://www.macrumors.com/2007/06/26/more-leopard-features-unveiled/
I am a bit confused. How can a DVD player support both BluRay and HDDVD format? Does this mean there will be another upgrade to the MBP when leopard comes out?
If so, can I just upgrade the 8x Superdrive to some drive that can view both BluRay and HDDVD?
Your clarifications will help a lot =)
