I restored from Time Machine after playing around on Big Sur and I feel like I got the wrong version of the messages app. Under file, I now have Enable Diagnostics Mode and Export Conversation...
I could only find a single Reddit thread which talked about finding this Enable Diagnostics Mode option but nothing about why or how to go back to a normal version.

Is this what it looks like for everyone and I am going crazy, or is there a way to go back to the normal version?

Messages→About Messages. What is reported for the version? On my Catalina install, Messages version is 13.0 (5500).

It wonder why a Time Machine restore triggered this mode.

Need to ask the obvious question: was the last Time Machine backup made pre-Big Sur? Can see a plist getting restored that has debug options toggled on. No idea which one that might be.

If you create a new clean user, login to the new user do you still still those options in Messages app?

I did a restore to a June backup of 10.15.5 and it had the debug options even after updating to 10.15.6. I’ll try the new account to see if it persists.

Doing a reinstall of MacOS with Apple R didn't fix it either. I thought for sure that would do it.
