i have no idea where to post this so i'll do it here cause i got my mighty mouse with my mac mini....anyway...

i have a wireless mighty mouse which i bought with a mac mini in august last year and the scroll wheel has finally conched out completely and i have tried cleaning it but its dead....i know it has a one year warranty so its bound to finish very soon....i was wondering, if i took the mighty mouse into apple with its original boxing and everything, would they be able to scan the barcode and tell me when it was bought and then be able to tell me if its still in its warranty??? i need to replace it, i hate not having a scroll wheel!!! and please don't suggest ways on cleaning it, i have been through it a million times!!!

If you still have your receipt you should be fine, but if not then I'm afraid they won't exchange it. You could try though and let us know.

A good rule of thumb is to always keep your receipt for situations like this. Since you have the original box for the mouse, it would have been good to put the receipt in there.
