Is it possible for my wife and I to share a calendar with MobileMe? We want to be able to add appointments and things on the calendar on her iPhone and have them update on my iPhone and vise versa. This way we are aware of each others things going on.

This has been discussed a few times. At the moment, no, you can't share calendars as read/write between users. You can share them read-only, but currently MobileMess will not sync the "shared" calendars to your device.
I have been dying for a "family" calendar that is shared and can be updated by any family member ... as well as shared r/o calendars so that my wife can see my work schedule BEFORE she calls me while I am in a meeting!

Yeah it's pretty lame that you can't share a calender at least among family users and allow everyone read write access. Having push setup for a calender is pretty pointless without this.
I would have bought a family pack if there was shared calender and address settings. I decided to just sign up for one account and share it with my wife for now though it's still not ideal because I don't need her seeing all my calenders. I'm sure she wouldn't like to see "buy wife a present" listed one day before her birthday

What kills me is that a "family" shared calendar is a feature that would make the "family" pack a true value. Right now, it's just a bundle of 4 accounts, with 3 of them having limited resources.
Right now, I am hoping that Google decides to make some form of sync application for the iPhone. I don't care if it is not push, but if I could at least manually sync against a common read/write calendar, then I would have what I am looking for.
At this point, MobileMess is not worth anything to me ... it craps out syncing from Windows and will not sync from behind my company firewall. It's basically useless to me. Sure, it demo'd well for Apple, but when the rubber hits the road , it ain't worth it.
I am glad that I am on the "demo" plan ... I will give it a bit longer, but I am not holding out hope!

You can share an iCal calendar, and sync to Google's Calendar with BusySync or SpanningSync. Both cost money but will allow you to use iCal and sync to Google's Calendar.
I have only set up my MobileMe account so far. My husband is out of town and I haven't quite figured out if I actually need his phone to get his set up. My situation is different. I do not want to share calendars. When I went to sync my account, the iCal synced but it includes all of his stuff as well as all of mine. Is there a way to only sync the information that I want from iCal? Same goes for the address book. I now have all of his grouped contacts in my mobile me account which I don't want. Thanks.
Yes. But it's a workaround.
on your wife's phone, set mm to only sync email.
on your wife's phone add your mm email accnt and set it to sync contacts calendars, and bookmarks
on your phone set your mm accnt to sync contacts calendars and email.
on each iphone you'll have synced contacts & calendars but your own emails
on her mmweb she will only have her email (contacts & calendars no)
on your mm web you will have the combined calendar & contacts
on your home mac, you will have all the combined info.
If your wife can live without web access it will work. You could even upload the contact list to her mmweb and then turn contact syncing off/switch it back to yours so at least she can write emails from the web access with a static address book.
