Ok, I hope this doesn't come off too stupid.

Basically I am in the market for a new widescreen tv, Not to crazy just something not too expensive but better than my ol' 1995 RCA ;)

But, I am also considering buying a mac mini... Which I would need a monitor for. So basically I am wondering is there a tv/monitor that could serve duel purpose? Would Apple's?

Get the Dell 2405fpw. It has DVI, VGA, Composite, Component, and S-Video. If you pluggin in a Hi-Def reciever then you could watch TV on it. Plus it has Pic in Pic so you can work on your computer and watch TV at the same time.

I like what i've read so far, question though on the TV part. Is it ready to equipt as a TV? Can I hook up my DVR, DVD, video games, etc ?

It doesn't have a tuner. You can however connect devices via s-video, composite RCA, DVI, or VGA. I have two computers, my TiVo, and my PS3 hooked to my 20-inch Dell.
