Question about MP3's ripped to iTunes on a Mac then transferred to a PC

I'm copying some bootlegs (authorised ones) for someone. I'm copying the MP3 files and then burning data CDs. I'm mailing them to someone who has a PC with Windows and seems a bit clueless. I don't know if iTunes won't run on his computer or if he just won't use it.

Will the info tags on the MP3 files from my iTunes be transferred to his PC when he will be using some other music player?

yes, id3 tags stay with the file no matter whether it is on a mac or a windows PC.

The files are supported equally by both operating systems and both store all the same information in the same way.

Winamp or anything else will read the tags just as well as iTunes.

as the previous poster said, it will work. I personally ripped all of my music on a mac and then transferred it on another pc and a mac and everything works fine...mp3 and file tags are universal.

Maybe "bootleg" would have been better replaced with "homemade" or something of the sort; who knows.

Because it's become to mean something else - or the word is being used incorrectly now I guess. It's a show that was taped with the musician's authorisation for sharing without profit.
