Hi,

so I upgraded from a series 5 to a series 7. I don’t use the always on screen because I don’t need it and it saves on battery.

Since setting it up, i’ve noticed that when I raise my wrist to look at the watch, it lights up very dimly for about half a second and then goes to full brightness (it’s on the middle setting). Is this new to this series, because it’s really distracting. I can’t find a setting that would cause this.

Is this normal?

Thanks so much.

Does the same thing happen if you DO turn on the always-on display? Honestly, I've had always-on active on my Series 6 since I got it, and I wear and use my watch from about 6am-midnight every day with plenty of battery power to spare, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

i find that turning off always on display doesnt save that much more battery. on my S6 it would only last about 30 mins - an hr more then with always on display turned on

I noticed this, too. This is noticeable if you have a full watch face versus watch faces with just numbers. I've used Infograph for the longest time and didn't notice until switching to S7 from S4.

What you are seeing is not new to the Series 7. Several forum members have reported the behavior in the past. I don't think it is abnormal.
