Hi guys, I have a question for you and I'd be really happy if you could help me!

I'm using a late 2012 27" iMac and I'm using an AirPort Extreme as router. I'm connected to it via Ethernet (to get better performances) but in order to use AirDrop and localisation features, I'm being told to activate WiFi.

What will happen if I'm connected both via Ethernet and WiFi?

Thanks a lot!

Thanks! But what I also want to know is what will it use in priority? Ethernet or WiFi?

System Preferences > Network > "gear settings below the left window" > Set Service Order

By default... you are probably OK... but you can set the priority.

You might need to click the padlock in the lower left first... if it is locked.

Oh yes, I forgot about mentioning that! I always set my service order with Ethernet before Wifi for "obvious" performance reasons, and make the other interfaces I don't use "Inactive".
