Question about new penryn 17" hi res mbp superdrive noise..

when I turn it on has a higher pitched sound of the superdrive starting up instead of the older model.. is this normal????

I mean the superdrive works fine but sounds like it has a silencer now on it

On a side note, all this time the little airhole on the bottom right side of the hitachi travelstar 7k200 was covered up totally!! No wonder it ran super hot... I love the new 17" mbp now it doesnt even cover up the bottom right air hole anymore =D

Yeah the 15" superdrive I had for a few days before this 17" made a big noise whenever rebooting or waking from sleep. This one is a lot quieter.

Very welcomed I'd say very very quiet

I just noticed that the new 17" mbp hi res model is very very light, I was surprised to pick it up and being actually lighter than my 15" sr mbp!!
