Question about older MacBooks comparison

Hey, I have a question about older MacBooks. I can't find any charts or comparisons of these macbooks:

Macbook 3.1 A1181 Black Santa Rosa (Late 2007) Spec. C2D T7500 2.2 GHz, 3GB RAM (user upgraded) 320GB HDD SATA (user upgraded) Intel GMA X3100 + Three Partitions (OSX 10.7.5, OSX 10.10.5 - installed with OSX Hackers Method and Windows 10 Pro 32bit)

and

Macbook Air 1.1 A1237 (Early 2008) Spec. C2D P7700 1.8 GHz, 2GB RAM, 80GB HDD ZIF PATA, Intel GMA X3100 + OSX 10.7.5

The first one is mine and I have possibilities to get MBA 1.1 for it. I heard about hinge problem of MBA 1.1 and I want to know more about it i. e how much time it takes to break hinges and more. Can anyone help me in comparison of these two?

I wouldn't make the trade. The MBA is painfully slow due to its small 80GB HDD and the other specs are worse as well.

Also what do you think about putting an SSD and maximize ram to 6gb in my BlackBook? Does it worth or no? There will be a huge performance jump?

There won't be a performance jump as such, your CPU and GPU are still the same so you won't be able to do anything like video rendering faster or play more intense games.

However you will be able to have more things open without slowing down and boot times and app opening times will be far superior due to the extra ram and an SSD, so it will feel very fast, like a modern MacBook.
