I want to know if it's possible to play games on my ipad with Bluetooth controller mirroring to HDTV with lightning to digital av adapter? I don't have Apple TV and wanted a workable solution. Any thoughts on the matter?:apple:

Get the AppleTV.

I would go to the store and test out playing games on your tv with an iPad before you buy anything.

Then get an AppleTv

I wanted to not have to depend on a internet connection.

Not sure how the bluetooth plays into this, but in general it looks like you may have unacceptable lag with this adapter OR with AppleTV. I've tried Real Racing (2 & 3) with AppleTV, and it's not fun. You'd think a cable would be better, and perhaps one of the older 30-pin to HDMI adapters was OK, but I'm hearing that the Lightning cable is worse.

Menneisyys2 has info (as usual, an incredibly detailed write-up) comparing two versions of the 30 pin cables here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1581053/

He also refers to this thread on touch arcade:
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=173262

Go to the last few pages of that thread, and you'll see the lightning cable version is laggier than earlier stuff.

[Looks like I missed Menneisyys2's treatise on the Lightning adapters -- I just noticed he mentions it in his post -- you can search for that yourself.]
