Hi, apologies if this has been asked before but I will be in Turkey on September 15th which I assume will be pre-order day. Would I still be able to pre-order on the Apple Store app and get it delivered to my London address? And will it take payment in the local currency (Turkish Lira) or would it be GBP? Will be paying via Monzo card as well if that makes a difference.

And if i am unable to do so, would it work if I did it via VPN?

You can only use the Apple Store app version for the country with the address you would like your device to be shipped to. This means that, in your case, you must pay the GBP cost. If you wanted to purchase a device directly at an Apple Store in Türkiye and pick it up right there, you would be charged the TRY cost. I don’t understand why Apple doesn’t just charge everyone on the globe the same USD cost if the company is American.

Also, it’s Türkiye, not Turkey. The country is now officially referred to in English-speaking countries by its native name.

You should be able to order from the UK Apple Store using a UK credit card - “I expect” VPN would be needed; presumably the site would block a purchase from Turkey.
