if I opt in for public betas does this mean I'm locked in to betas only , so if say I do 9.3 beta and than once it goes live and I would have to update to that version ? And whAt a 9.4 beta is released can I just not download it and wait for the release version ?

Thanks

Once you opt for public beta you get public releases as well.Sometimes the same beta build releases as a public update in which case you won't get the update otherwise you get both public releases as well as betas. But once you upgrade to public beta you can't restore your iPhone to the older public release

Ok thanks, so I think I will do it and have the best of both worlds

You can downgrade your phone to a previous iOS version. You can't however use a backup that was made on say 9.3 on 9.2.

I wasn't sure if I should start a new thread or just ask in this one, so if a mod wants to delete this or if this is too far off topic let me know. I tried to sign up for the public beta program, I went to the site on my phone and then installed the "profile", but after my phone rebooted it still says 9.2.1 available for install. Do I need to install that before it will show my 9.3 beta is available? Am I missing a step?
