Will a PC4200 DDR2 533mhz chip work on a Powerbook? I don't know a lot about RAM and the only difference between this and the chips that come with PB's is that the PB one runs at 333mhz, will this stop the other chip from working?

If it doesn't, it isn't because of the speed. As long as it's laptop DDR2 RAM, and pretty good quality, it should work fine, albeit at the lower speed.

I don't think you can run DDR2 RAM in a DDR slot. The system controller isn't designed to see DDR2 RAM. The clock cycles are different from DDR RAM.

The new PBs use DDR2 at 333MHz. ;)
