I plan to remove iDVD just to get back some HD space. I had plenty now, but it's only a 40gig harddrive, so I need all the space I can get.

To remove it.. just spotlight for it and delete all iDVD things found?

and then also.. can i restore iDVD from the os x install disk if i find i need it someday?

Just drag iDVD to your Trash and it should be removed completely. If not you can always search for related files in Spotlight. And yes, you can re-install it later on via the system discs.

Thanks. iDVD isn't linked to the DVD player right? Might seem like a dumb question, but I had a problem similar to that in which removing some dumb program disabled me from viewing dvd's.
