I jail-broke my iPhone and now I have a questin: I might want to restore the phone (I'll use the stickied guide at the top of the forum), but one thing it doesn't make any mention of is apps: will all my apps retain saved information? Data? Saved game states? Etc. Will all my text messages be in tact?

I think I've also read that all jail-breaking data is removed, essentially returning my phone to the exact state it was before the jail-break, correct?

Thanks in advance!

about the Jailbroken data, there is a app through Cydia called AptBackup and it's supposed to save all of your Jailbroken stuff so after you Restor-->Jailbreak download the AptBackup thing again and it will extract the stuff you got from Cydia.

that is what i'm told, i am in the process of using it now for my Touch because i had to Restore, i'll let you know if it works!

about the iPhone stuff (text messages and all) i have no help there, sorry.

AFAIK iTunes makes backups of your iPhone automatically and when you restore you can choose the one you'd like.
