First let me say hello, I am new here but not new to macs/ipods.

I just got a iphone last night and I noticed when its fully charged in Settings > Usage the battery usage will show when the battery is fully charged only. Once it has some usage it shows "-" with a note saying the information will display when the battery is fully charged.

So I am curious is this normal?

Thanks

I've run into the same problem. I tried to find the original thread, but i couldn't find it so i'll just tell you what I did.

I read somewhere in the forum if you do a restore through iTunes, then drain your battery all the way down till it shuts off by itself. the next time you charge till it's fully charged (you'll get the plug in the icon in the top right corner) it should come up with the usage. it worked for me. I also figured out that if you use the phone till you get the "_% battery left" message, next time you charge fully, it'll reset the phone.

That's been my experience at least.. hope that helps.

Mine always shows the dash no matter how long i charge it. I've let it run down to 5% and it doesn't matter. I have not tried a restore. Also, my battery never looks 100% charged.

I'm just waiting for the first update to see if it fixes these issues. if not then i may swap it for a new one in the apple store.
