Question about the Digital AV/Lightning connector

Can this be used to display anything?

I'm in Quebec and would love to watch an app called tou.tv or Illico on my TV (my Ipad is an Pro 10.5 inches)

Would this work, or some apps would be blocked?

Also would this be full screen or would it be centered with a black square around it

1. Most apps won't be blocked. If they do, it is due to DRM/anti-piracy measures. Only way to find out is to try unfortunately.

2. On your iPad it will still look the same but on your TV it will most probably be centered with black square around or just black bars at the top and bottom, depending on the screen ratio of your TV and the app

As mentioned, some apps are blocked from HDMI display - the xfinity app is one. For the display, you can try altering the television's display control to "Fit to screen" - I find it works well with my iPad Pro.
