question about the imac memory ram

i have the imac with 4gb of ram.. i want to upgrade to 8gb.. i know that the imac use ddr3.. but that's not enough.. i need more info to be able to buy the same memory.. it would be better if i know which brand and model.. i want to buy the same memory to upgrade

Depends on what iMac do you have. If it's one of the new ones (21.5"/27") then you only need 2x2GB because new iMacs have four RAM slots but older iMacs have only two slots (2x2GB) so you need 2x4GB to make it 8GB.
