Hello, I'm going to pick up tomorrow iMac (2019) 27 Retina 5K i5 3.7 6C/8GB/2TB FD/RP580X (MRR12RU/A)
1. I'm interested in which matrix is set 10bit or 8bit+FRC(RGBW)
2. I want to watch 4K Ultra HD movie, how it looks good?

1. LG 27MD5KA-B (5K, IPS) displayspecifications.com 8bit+FRC(RGBW) It is true that the matrix - the panels are used the same as on imac 27 5k?
2. Thanks, I was planning to use IINA, but I will try Plex Player

Plus for Plex, you will need to set up a server as well. So I'd still stick to IINA.

Yeah, Plex is server based. I tried a 4K with VLC and MPlayer and they played, although not sure about HDR support. IINA just sat there with a blank screen when I opened a 4K.

  • Who has the opportunity, please see. Confirm by going to system report -> display settings - you should see 30 bit colour 101010 listed there.
