Question about the speed of shipping

Okay, so I am trying to figure out where I should ship the iPad that I am about to buy. Does anybody know if Apple's estimates for how long it takes to ship tends to be a conservative estimate...anybody order one in the past few weeks and it get their faster than the timeframe apple gives? Because it'd need to get here on the fifth, at the latest.

If not, then I would have to ship it to where I'd be staying at for a few weeks.

You usually receive it 1-3 days earlier than the Apple estimated ship date.

Well, I got it ordered, but not from Apple. I should be getting the 64 gig wifi version tomorrow whenever the Fedex guy gets here. Which is good, because I just sold my ipod touch.

Anybody able to confirm the battery life when playing audio files as 140 hours for music? If that's true, you'd think they'd mention that on their website.
