Question about the WiFi auto join switch.

I have the iPhone WiFi switch turned on connected, but when the device goes to sleep ( approx 30s screen off ), it doesn’t auto join the same WiFi network again unless I have the Auto Join switch enabled.

Is this a feature ?

Thanks. The WiFi remains ON but not connected after waking. So it’s all normal.

I read that article linked. But my network at home is not a captive type. I’m assuming same principle applies.
