Before 20 people tell me to use google or forum search, I have with no real success.

I am looking for a program to transfer music from the iPad to my computer, which iTunes obviously doesn't support. I was fortunate enough to have my photos in Picasa web albums, but my music is a problem.

Every program I have found for transferring this way has been iPod/iPhone only. Is there a program I am overlooking that does have iPad support? Or am I just kind of screwed waiting for a company to update?

Have you tried iPhone explorer? I know it says 'iPhone' in the title but it might still work :) Haven't tried.

Another option would be to jailbreak and SSH in wouldn't it?

One thing to note is that when accessing your music folders on your iPad they won't be named something recognisable.

I'll give iPhone explorer a try tomorrow, a quick google of it seems to indicate it supports the iPad, ill be sure to update this post with the results.

Appreciate the help!

iPhone explorer worked great! Was able to pull all the music files off, readd them into iTunes, and iTunes recognized and reorganized them all! Thanks for your help :)

gracias

Thanks guys. I had a hard drive crash and didn't want to lose unique music files on my iPad to transfer back to my music server.

So this should really help.

lots of folders

I'm transferring a bunch of files over to my crashed drive and notice the folder is filled with everything but listed in a lot of folders with "F" not with any names of the music composers or bands.

After copying the contents, if I just do an "add" in Itunes it will take them all and then update them by name into the existing library?

I'm just checking because I've typically seen the files go in under just a generic name of just by name of the song, etc. without the corresponding information placed in place.

Thanks.

Update: Okay, it's importing and after many odd symbols the songs by name do come up and show the data is being imported properly.

Yipeekaiyeah!
