Question about unlocked iphone and at&t's pick your plan

hey, so I'm going to get at&t's pick your plan as a temporary solution for cell service (long story). My iphone is the 2g and is unlocked (using the pwnage tool). So, I was looking at at&t and was just going to get the regular, cheapest option (200 mins for $30 per month), but then I saw that they offered a MediaNet Unlimited plan for 20 a month, would this work just as like edge? Also, would this whole setup work at all? Thanks for your help

Pretty much. I would actually ask them about plans and setup. If they ask, just tell them you were given the phone from a friend and are only interested in PrePaid service but want the unlimited Internet. I have seen people here who use the $20/mo data on a prepaid plan, but I cannot confirm.
