question about up coming AirPlay mirroring??

Dumb Question:
So will i be able to mirror anything thats on my MBP screen? Streamed movies, movies playing on VLC, etc.. ( with audio and all )

If so will this be possible in clamshell mode?

there is a Mac SW called AirParrot that can do AirPlay mirroring from your MBP to an apple tv. I use it on my MBP with a Lion OS. Also no need to JB the appletv.
