I have a question about the apps for the iPad that have been updated since launch. I currently have apps waiting to be synced when I get my iPad sometime later this month. Is the version I have waiting in iTunes going to be the old version or the new version? Is that app actually ON my harddrive right now or is it out there in 'the cloud' that I hear mentioned here and there... Is there an update function to apps once you have them or do you need to get the new copy? Ugh... I barely have my toes wet with this Apple ecosystem thing and already feel overwhelmed.

Please be nice.. I am a total :apple: n00b. Thanks :)

1. Is the version I have waiting in iTunes going to be the old version or the new version? - It will be whatever version you bought at the time.

2. Is that app actually ON my harddrive right now or is it out there in 'the cloud'... - It should be downloaded on your computer if you bought it.

3. Is there an update function to apps once you have them or do you need to get the new copy? - There is an updater function for the apps.

Thank you very much! So I should be careful on the apps I purchase if my harddrive is not that big, correct?

No problem! :) The apps can range from 1 MB to over 100 MB. It just depends on the app. I think it tells you when you buy it how big it is.
