Hi all, I just bought a 15" powerbook w/ a 400mhz ppc processor. I was wondering if it's possible to upgrade the processor to something a bit faster?

Yes, its possible to upgrade, but you should've just gotten a faster one in the first place. I believe processor upgrades can be $200-500. I'm not sure the exact prices though. What are you looking to upgrade to?

Well, the reason I didnt get a faster one in the 1st place is b/c I got a great deal on this one from a buddy of mine. I dont mind about paying for the upgrade, is that something that the local mac store would assist me with or?

Not an Apple store if thats what you're referring to, but most likely another Apple-type store could assist you.

Would I need to replace the entire board or just the processor? Does anyone know of any good related sites?
