Question about using unlocked phone in other countries

So my iphone3g is unlocks for tmobile. I am going to hongkong in Xmas and my dad usually gets me a paid sim card. If I put thqt in would it work without changing any settings?

Yes but you may need to enter an apn if you want internet. It depends on the carrier.

Sort of. You'll have to put in an APN for that prepaid service if you want data services. Occasionally you have to program the voicemail number in. Otherwise it should be fine.

Oh no I don't need data. It's jsut a simple paid sim card I use dor two weeks. So probably don't have to set apn or program or anything Ruhr? I just needa call that's it
