How do I see the stats of weapons and armor so I'll know I have the best available equipped? Also how do you see what the different items do?

Supposedly in 1.0.1 (free update), the buy/sell/equip menus will include a brief description of every item.

In the room where you first gain control of the character, walk left to the center of the red carpet and then head STRAIGHT down.
Does anyone else have the bug where the bar that lets you choose what you want to do in combat doesn't come up and you have to restart the application? It's really annoying and I'm hoping it's fixed with an update.
I'm not sure, but I DO know you can play Vay in Japanese on an American iphone. Just switch your language settings to Japanese and the game'll be in the original, untranslated Japanese text. I'm not sure if cutscenes'll be in Japanese or not. I admittedly haven't played much of it in Japanese.
Just be careful if you do this, because once you switch language settings your last auto-save won't work (though the game just makes another). This is actually a really good trick to use if you come across a bug in the game and auto-save prevents you from loading a save to get around it (I actually had to use this trick myself. Thanks SoMoGa tech people for telling me about it!).

The bar comes up with the character shown at the top right but with no icons on the bar for Attacking, Casting Magic, etc.

that is incorrect. There is a site with weapon, armor, item, spell, and other info and stats. It seems old and like a beta test thing cause the names for the spells have been changed from what they are on that website. But the items are the same from what I know. Tell you who can use what, who can learn what, how strong it is, the works. But I forget the website name. I'll look for it again and if I find it I will put it on here if I remember this site. Just joined to tell y'all. Lol. You just have to know where to look...
I don't know if this was made for Vay that was possibly ever on a diff platform or not. But it must be pretty equalized stats to the now iPhone version

It also shows it in the main item screen on the menu, which is actually something that's an improvement over the SegaCD game itself (The item descriptions were only in the shops).
So yeah...you don't really need a FAQ for items anymore. Thank goodness.
Im getting really frustrated... After you get the Vay armor powered up and you go to the Legendary Island you go into a place a little bit in that is just rows and rows of the same building and every time you enter one it takes you back to the one you come out of... Which one do I go in?
