Question about web and email on MobileMe

I have been using MM since last year but only for email, photo gallery, back up ...
I have a question about the service but cannot find the answer. Hope some one can help

I have a website for business, lets say "www.mydomain.com" and another service that handles emails with several addresses: "firstname.lastname@mydomain.com" for different users in the company.

My question is: can my website and emails be hosted on MM while maintaining the identical site address and the same email address?

Let me explain it better would it be possible, using MM, to reach the site by typing the same http address ("www.mydomain.com") and have emails with the same outgoing email address ("firstname.lastname@mydomain.com") even if they are hosted on Apple server. Of course each employee will have his personal MM account and manage is own "firstname.lastname@mydomain.com"

Would this be possible? Should I contact Apple to do something like this or is something I can do by myself?

I know you can host the site at MM so long as the domain is registered already and the site will be http://www.mydomain.com with no mention of Apple or MM. Not sure about the emails however, that is a really good question, my guess is yes since the emails are usually managed by the server hosting the site.

Sign on to MM via your browser, go to "account" via the drop down menu on the upper right, below your name and enter your password again. On the left side there is a menu, one of them will say "Personal Domain" click that and then follow the on screen prompts and directions for redirecting your domain to the MM host.

You can use Google Apps' free version, if you are not against of Google's policies. It is free and you can generate up to 50 email addresses with your domain. Then you can set up a forwarding to Mobile Me.

Oh I didn't know that, thanks. Sorry if I look dumb but do you mean I can keep my "firstname.lastname@mydomain.com" address and not having gmail.com and no ads anywhere? How do I do that?

Yes you can. It will be a gmail service, but not @gmail.com. I will tell you briefly:

1. Visit that site: http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/group/index.html
2. Click get started
3. Fill the forms, etc.

After completing all these, you will see a lot of instructions when you sign in to Google Apps. What you need to do is configure your domain's MX servers to Google's servers. (Host of your website should handle the MX server, I don't know if Mobile Me gives an opportunity to change them)

If you do everything correctly, when you sing in to Gmail with username "firstname.lastname@mydomain.com" and your password, you will see familiar Gmail interface. You can set up forwarding to your mobile me account from settings.
