I've searched around but haven't seen an answer to this (though it's likely more subjective than objective).
Long story short my phone met with a very wet demise. It's dead. I'm sure of it. I pulled it apart and let it dry for a week and it's still dead. I'm thinking about selling it for parts but I cannot wipe the data from the phone. Obviously, if someone gets it working again (or puts the flash memory in a working device) there are safeguards against them accessing my data but nothing is foolproof.
So my question is, how much of a risk am I taking in selling this for parts without wiping the data off the device first? Since it's flash memory, it should be more secure than a spinning platter drive but I'm not technical enough in the physical electronics and hacking to gauge the risk.
Oh, I know about ebay scams where people claim they didn't receive it, yada, yada. I'm specifically asking about a data privacy risk.
