I'm just curious about this. I thought Jobs said the 3G iPad is unlocked, yet I haven't heard any accounts of T-Mobile customers using it. As far as I know iPhone unlockers can use their phones on T-Mobile. I realise Sprint and Verizon are out of the question. So is it true that T-Mobile customers could just cut their sims and stick them in? What's to stop T-Mobile from actually offering Microsims with data plans?

I don't get some aspects of the US carrier situation so sorry if the answer is obvious.

AH. I thought AT&T and T Mobile were exactly the same.

Thanks for the answer.
