I'm looking to buy a laptop riser (stand) for installation in a DJ booth.

My question is how tall is the front end of the Griffin iCurve. Specifically, how much room from the surface of the table to the bottom of the plastic in front (how much clearance)?

Thanks in advance for any replies, this kind of dimension isn't advertised anywhere. All i can find online is the maximum height in the back (6 inches).

cheers!

ham_man is right. I got the same thing. However, my iCurve is bent I just noticed....one holder is higher than the other by almost .5". :(

do u find it tall if you don't have an external monitor. i want it one to prop up my PB and use it with my BT mouse and keyboard... I have a podium coolpad but i don't like the way it looks, plus when i prop it up to the highest level i can't insert a cd( its too much of an angel)

No, I don't find it too high at all. It's just the right height for looking at without having to crane your head upwards or downwards. No problem putting CDs in or ejecting them on my 15" PB. CDs don't drop out of the drive onto whatever is below when ejected, either ;)

I also find it to be just fine when using my BT mouse and keyboard. It´s also great when using the PB to watch a movie (put the iCurve on the coffee table, sit back and enjoy... :D ).

ITASOR, try bending it back!

I don't wanna break it. My other one that I got used on here isn't bent at all. Maybe I'll return my NEW, BENT ONE!

thanks ham_man
3.75" is perfect. that gives me just enough clearance to not interfere with the cabling in the back of the DJ mixer, and i can put my 12" PB right behind the mixer and have it easily accessible.

i may grab one this weekend...
cheers!
