iPod question for latest ipod owners..

i think its the 4th gen. but anyways can you use the new ipods as a portable storage device? do you still need to sync it with itunes???

For all iPods(pretty sure) you can just plug it in the drag things to it, on your desktop in the finder. Although you made need to change it to allow manual eject (iTunes might try to get rid of it). Which is real simple and can be done under "iPod" in the iTunes prefs.
