I would really like to purchase one of the new MBP laptops - my question is, how well does the new MBP run Vista? I think I read something about nvidia drivers, but is this a really big issue?

Thanks!

Vista installs just fine as a Boot Camp dual-boot. However, the 1.2 drivers CD created does not contain the proper video drivers, nor the proper wired Ethernet drivers. Everything else was supported. I suspect either a Boot Camp update, or separate downloads, are bound to be in the works.

Of note, even without the proper video drivers, Vista uses a default driver that is far better than the typical VGA drivers. You can properly set the resolution and everything, which is all I need. But if you look at that screen that shows the system speed rating, it rates it a 1.0, due to what is shows as a poor video card. I fully expect that to change once drivers are available.

One could probably get the wired Ethernet drivers from Intel, and the video drivers from NVidia, but in my case I just didn't need to...

I bet Apple will release new boot camp drivers within a week. No need to worry about this.
