How do you carry your phones without breaking the screen protectors on each others phone?

I am being serious and maybe just unlucky.

I have a launch day iPhone 16 Pro and a Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 and I already broke the screen protector on each device TWICE.

First time I carried both phones in my pants and when I took one of them out to take a photo, it suddenly had a crack in the corner.

The second time I was carrying one in my pants and the other one in my jacket and I assume the one in the jacket bumped against the one in my pants while I was walking and shattered the screen protectors of the other phone.

Finally I was laying on the sofa, pick up the iPhone and screen protectors got a crack again!

Previously I had just one phone with the same screen protector surviving a whole year just fine 🫣

I am starting to suspect it’s the rather sharp camera frame on the Pitaka cases.

Attached the latest examples.

I buy good screen protectors, ESR. They aren't expensive but unless you drop the phone face down on a stone, they are more than durable enough for everyday normal use. The cheap 0.2mm screen protectors tend to just break randomly but I learned it is best to just pay a bit more and trust an established brand. It could also be your case as you say.

Is it the same brand of protector as you had on previous phone for a year?

The one for iPhone is the one they sell and apply at the Apple Store. Belkin Ultra something and I already had a Belkin one on my previous iPhone 15 Plus for a year without an issue, not even micro scratches as far as I could see. The one on the Fold 6 is from Spigen.

I requested a replacement for the Belkin one 3 weeks ago and according to customer service, it is not in stock until October 10th which makes me believe there may have been some production issues that they are currently solving?

Can't break a screen protector if you don't have one. ;)

That's how I avoid breaking mine. 😜
