I have just bought Keyspan's RF Remote for Front Row from the Apple Store.

Everything is fine... works well in Front Row

However, when the remote is used outside Front Row... the + and - buttons no longer increases or decreases the system volume... instead, the + and - buttons simply behave just like the 'up' and 'down' keys on the keyboard.

so if you're listening to itunes and press the + button, the item selection will simply move up th iTunes library list instead of increasing the volume...

this happens in iPhoto and DVD player too...

so if you are using the Keyspan RF Remote with a Mac Pro, please let me know if this is normal (which I'd be very disappointed to know) or if I need to ask for a remote replacement.

Thanks for helping.

That is normal for the Keyspan remote unfortunately. I got used to how my Intel Mini did that and missed it when I got my MacPro. Not sure if there is any possibility of customizing the buttons (I know there is for the Apple IR remote).
