Noticed a strange question mark in front some drop downs menus throughout my system. Does anyone else have this issue or know what is causing it?

Ah yes... I know what that is. Did you by any chance use one of the tools out there to change the default system font? The character that's supposed to be there is a checkmark, indicating that the item is selected / active. However, the font you're using doesn't support / contain that particular character, so a boxed question mark is used instead.

Not that I was aware of. To fix this I went into font book and restored standard fonts. Then restarted. Problem solved.
