For those who got the 11/11pro on launch day in September 2019 and now getting the 12 pro max or 12 mini - how many payments in total were you charged on the 11? I initially had the 12 pro but returned and had to make another payment towards the 11 pro, so now it seems that I will have 14 payments in total before getting the 12 mini. Does that sound right?

Wondering the same thing. I remember when the XS came out, Apple discounted the first payment to compensate for the late release. I’m preordering the 12 pro max, so very curious what happened for those that got the 12/12 pro.

I decided to chat with Apple tonight. The rep I spoke to knew nothing about any discounts or credits for those of us that upgraded to the X at launch (and subsequently paid 14 payments). It looks like us early adopters will only receive 10 payments worth of value on the trade… If anybody that has already purchased their iPhone 12 and can confirm, I would appreciate it.

Interestingly, the rep also knew nothing about those that paid 13 payments for their iPhone X on the iPhone XS launch. In my case, I got a credit back from citizens one. Others reported that Apple discounted their first payment on the X.
