Question on photoshop

Hey, first let me say im a new member and a convert from pc to mac. I made a quick choice of buying a macbook when my pc died last week and i was lucky to find this community recently.

I was into light photo editing and heavy video editing on my pc but have since switched entirely to photo editing. It's been a couple months since I last worked with photoshop. I used both gimp and PS elements since im still new to editing and learning slowly but surely. And since im also new to macs im still learning about the binary and rosetta applications.

So my question has to do with getting a photo editing program that will run on the 13'' macbook. Is there a PS program made for mac that will run on the macbook?

I would use it mainly for touching up and coloring sketches and in the future touching up on tablet creations. Im just unsure of how to go about using a program on mac.

Eitherway the mac is a hundred times more user-friendly and funner to use than windows. Best decision ever made so far. Sorry for the long post.

Any of the Mac versions of Adobe's software will run on your MacBook. While they are not universial binaries, they run under Rosetta. It's not natively fast, but it's a decent holdover until CS3 is released as a universal binary next spring.

GIMP also runs on Macs using X11 windowing system.

Photoshop works it bogs down if you have enormous files, but if you are just tweaking pictures you could always get aperture too.

you might try this as a cheaper version of Photoshop CS!
