For college, my father will be purchasing me the new Mac Pro 2019 model with all the maximum specs possible + 6K monitor with matte and stand. I now use an Imac Pro with all maximum specs from Apple Store.

From your perspective, will the new Mac Pro be noticeably faster and better for things like internet use, email, word processing (college reports) and gaming than the Imac Pro?

On a more serious note, if I may...:)

What GPU would you recommend to drive this :apple: 6K beauty at full capacity (20.4 million pixels, 10-bit depth at 60.00Hz in HDR Video mode)?;)
I assume any Intel Xeon W CPU should be adequate for the task.

Thank you very kindly, @Jyby: your info regarding the i7's vs. the Xeon's is just an eyeopener!:)
Could you please tell me how to determine which GPU would drive this 6K monitor at its full capacity?;)

Xeon Ws actually perform worse in gaming then the i7 4 cores w/ higher clock speeds...
Also, most software will not benefit from more than 8 cores in most cases... except for the obvious pro apps...
A lot of pro apps can’t even handle more than 6 cores

Two Duo's should be plenty.
I did not realize THAT much power is required to run this 6K display at full capacity...:(
What GPU would we need to drive a 8K TV like, for example, Samsung QLED 8K Q900, I wonder...

If you get the $40,000 setup, Google’s Chrome will stream Google’s 4k Youtube videos as well as RealPlayer streams 8k on a Packard Bell 386.
