Presently I have a 2019 27 inch iMac and plan to replace it with a Mac Studio and a studio display. Right now the distance from my desk to the bottom of the monitor on the iMac (not the bezel but the actual monitor) is about 5 inches - see image. I am happy with that.

I wonder how high the bottom edge of the Studio display will be above my desk if I get the tilt adjustable stand.

I'm confused by your question. If you get the adjustable stand you just adjust it to the desired height, if you don't get the adjustable stand you can fit the Mac Studio under the Studio display without issues, some people even set the display on top of the Mac and it fits well.

Check out some video reviews if you're curious.

I want to get the stand that will not raise in height -just tilt. I also do not want to put my Mac Studio under it. I like the height of the monitor on my iMac ow and just want to know that when I look at the studio display will it be approximately the same height. If not I would have to get the height adjusting stand.

Hmm, this guy would not even recommend the Studio display yet it seems like the height would be ok for me with jut the tilt stand.

From the top of my desktop surface to the bottom of the Studio Display is 5 inches. The bezel is about .5 inches tall. So, from desktop surface to the viewable display is 5.5 inches.

From what I've seen the Studio Display with adjustable height can not go any lower than the values I listed above. I have the Studio Display with Tilt and love it. The height is very comparable to the 2017 27 inch iMac I used prior.

Hope this helps and I wish you the best with your purchase.
