Ok, so I spent way too much time this week organizing my music and now I have a small problem. I use a PC to keep all my songs and movies on, and I also sync my iPod with iTunes on the PC. I recently used musicbrainz to organize all my music that wasn't tagged correctly. This all went fine. I updated my library on my PC and even went through and found album art for every album I have.

My problem now is using my Mac to listen to the music on my PC. When using my laptop, I always just use the shared library option to listen to my music. However, it seems that when I do this all of the artist are sorted differently than when I see them on my PC. For example on the PC an artist named "John Doe" is sorted "Doe, John" in the sort artist. On my laptop it is just blank until I click on the song to play it and then it creates a whole new artist organized by "Doe, John." This is really just annoying because if I want to play an album and I click on a song the album stops after the song is over because this is the only song by this artist in my shared library. And the worst part is if I went through and fixed all of this and then disconnect from my PC library and reconnect, the sort artist is blank again!

Please help! This is more annoying than anything, and maybe if I knew a little more about how iTunes shared libraries work I could fix it myself, but I don't. Sorry about the long post, but I had to make sure I was making sense. If I still wasn't I will help clear things up for anybody that is willing to help me.
