hey guys, I'm shopping for an unlocked android phone for my dad cause his iP4 is getting kinda old and he would like something bigger for his aging eyes. :)

Don't know much about android or the many devices out there so I'm asking for your opinion: for the same price, would you go with a brand new Moto X 16gb or a used (still in 1 yr warranty) 32gb HTC One (m7)? (these are 2 actual options, not just hypothetical)

here's a few considerations:
-he prob can't tell the diff between 1080 vs. 720 rez.
-don't think 16 vs. 32 gb is gonna make much diff. to him either
-he's using it overseas so it has to be unlocked
-he's using it mostly to surf the web, take some pics, not a heavy app user

ok, thanks in advance for your input.

Personally I would go with Moto X because I like stock Android but maybe your dad would prefer the One.

I'm not sure which one takes better pics but the One has better speakers, new Sense 6.0, BlinkFeed, battery life is similar between the two, the One has better build quality, OIS, a nicer screen (IPS vs over saturated AMOLED), same 2GB RAM but the One has better processor too.

I'd say go for the One.
